Bronze to rune
Each rank has tougher armor and greater mass. Heavier knights resist knockback more; ogres remain much harder to move. Shield marks identify ranks even when colors are darkened by fire or tinted by frost.
The campaign escalates
Early waves are mostly goblins and bronze knights. New ranks first appear in small numbers, then become regular troops. Scouts lead, mixed vanguards draw fire, goblins rush the gap, and armored formations bring in the ogres. Stronger knights guard the rear.
